MUD 07 Marta Genthon

Marta Genthon and her husband, Steve, have lived in the Woodlands for over 28 years. Steve and Marta raised four children in the Woodlands area.

Relevant Career Experience and Why the MUD:
As a retired Senior Compliance Executive for a Houston-based healthcare company with eleven Texas locations and three business lines, regulated by Medicare and Medicaid and other government agencies. I bring to the table a plethora of business and management experiences.

Community Service:
As a past member of the League of Women Voters for several years, Marta enjoyed information gathering to develop consensus on important issues facing voters. A believer in participating in the community, Marta volunteers with numerous community groups including churches, schools, sports, and educational organizations. Currently, she serves as a volunteer at the Salvation Army lunch meal preparation, at local marathons and Ironman events, at Newcomer’s Club as well as the Woodlands Art Festival. She currently tutors students to make a difference in the lives of students and executives in the area.

Education:
University of Wisconsin, Bachelor of Business Administration

I am asking for your vote, because I believe I will be a conscientious and fiscally responsible representative of the constituents in MUD 7. If I am elected, I will be a diligent information seeker and, in that process, become versed in current policy and procedures. In coordination with the community, my goal will be to investigate new ideas and expenditures. In addition, I will not stand idly and maintain the status quo. As your representative, I will not arbitrarily rubber-stamp current policies and procedures.
