Stephen Briggs and wife, Beverly, are retired and live in Cochran’s Crossing. Steve has lived in the Capstone neighborhood for 22 years. Together they enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren.
Work Experience
Retired from oil industry after nearly 40 years with work experience in a variety of technical and managerial positions including refining, supply operations, trading oil products, natural gas and analysis of project economics and global markets.
Managed teams charged with analysis of economics of large-scale natural gas projects and with studying and analyzing global natural gas markets.
Community Involvement
• Active in local politics: supporting candidates running for office, as well as working as election clerk and participation in local Republican organizations.
• Elected Precinct 59 delegate to the 2022 and 2024 Texas Republican State Conventions.
• Regular volunteer at Montgomery County Food Bank since retirement.
• Active volunteer with local church group that builds wheelchair ramps for people in need in Montgomery County and supports Habitat for Humanity home build projects.

• Fordham University: Bachelor of Science in Chemistry
• University of Virginia: Master of Science in Chemical Engineering
